Welcome to the Frindsbury Stirling Badminton Club web site.

We are a friendly club that at present has a mixed doubles team in the Rainham and District Badminton League.  The club nights are held on most Friday evenings between 8:00 and 10:00 pm on courts 4 and 5 at the Stirling Sports Centre, Maidstone Road, Rochester, Kent, and we normally welcome new adult players of league or club standard to attend, subject to there being vacancies within the club.  Regrettably, we are unable to accept juniors or beginners at present, but if coaching is required then one of our members offers this service; click here for details.

Although the club members consider themselves to be competitive, with the desire to win every game, the main aim of club night is primarily to enjoy playing a good standard of badminton with friends.  It is also an enjoyable way of keeping fit and helps relieve the stress of everyday life.  Badminton is the world's fastest racquet sport;  the shuttle can leave the racquet at 200 mph and a badminton player can cover more than one mile in just one match!

Club night fees are £3.00 per session.  If you are invited to join there is an annual membership fee of £29.00 to pay but this includes membership of the Stirling Centre and also many other sporting venues in the Medway area.

The Stirling Centre has good facilities including showers and changing rooms, rentable equipment, a large bar with pool table overlooking the sports hall and a spacious car park.

You won't need shuttles as they are provided by the club (Yonex Mavis 370).

Why not give it a go?  We don't bite (much)!
